Buchanan General Contracting is a Bellevue-based general contractor founded by Dennis Buchanan in 1985. December 2022 marked the next chapter for the company with a talented and energetic team of partners taking over the ownership of the company led by President, Terry Buchanan. We manage projects throughout the Pacific Northwest with a focus on working with non-profit housing and service providers on builds with unusual or challenging requirements.

Our dedicated and highly skilled team of estimators, project managers, superintendents, and field crew are genuinely committed to the needs and interests of our clients. A long list of satisfied clients will attest to our ability to complete projects on time and within budget.

Buchanan is a general contracting company with over 35 years of experience in estimating, preconstruction, and construction. We have a proven track record of success, with clients including PSE, Mercy Housing Northwest, Community Roots Housing, Low Income Housing Institute, Historic Seattle, Bechtel Corp, AT&T Wireless, Tacoma Housing Authority, and the King County Housing Authority.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION

We offer preconstruction services to help our clients make informed decisions based on budget estimating, constructability, and scheduling. Our preconstruction services extend to both projects that we will build as well as projects simply needing expertise to get to funding & permit.

CONSTRUCTION

Our team during construction is multi-faceted and provides superior supervision, project management, self-performed skilled labor, and clerical expertise. We thrive working with all partners on a project including owners, representatives, architects, consultants, government agencies, and residents.
