The outstanding service we give you began in 1985 when Dennis Buchanan, our Founder, first opened the doors of Buchanan General Contracting. You, and clients like you, come to us for our expertise in unique and challenging projects in the commercial and public services sectors. Buchanan takes on construction contracts ranging from $10,000 to $15 million with a specialty in renovation and new build projects with challenging scopes and timelines. Over the last fifteen years have become focused on helping non-profit organizations achieve their goals in the housing and service sectors. Buchanan’s resume includes a highly skilled and dedicated cadre of superintendents, and a company-wide commitment to tenacious client service. Our longevity in the industry is a testament to our excellent list of repeat clients and our solid financial statement. In 2022, we smoothly transitioned to include the next generation in Buchanan General Contracting Company’s history. With the spirit of continuing the vision and good work we do here, Terry Buchanan, Diana Jorgensen, Kevin Engelhardt and Zac Daab became the new operating partners of Buchanan General Contracting.

Our competitiveness in estimating and our management abilities are demonstrated by our continuing relationships with such well known organizations as the Mercy Housing Northwest, Community Roots Housing, Low Income Housing Institute, Tacoma Housing Authority, King County Housing Authority as well as construction management firms: Beacon Development Group, Lotus Development Group, and Edge Developers.
