Rise at Yancy Street is a new build in West Seattle. It consists of 44 SEDU units in 3 buildings that are connected by elevated walkways. This will be home to people with behavioral health needs that are transitioning from homelessness, hospitals, or other treatment settings. Existing homes on these lots were demo’d and lot was cleared.
Site work included 230 linear foot storm drain extension in the right of way. Connections were made from the site to services for power, water, gas and sewer. Newsletters were created for the community to support the need to close the street for an extended period of time.
Elevator installed. Bike storage. This project was completed on a super constrained site in a dense neighborhood.
Prevailing Wage requirements included City of Seattle Office of Housing funding, WMBE and Apprenticeship goals, and ESDS points.
